Metro's biggest Liverpool show of 2010

The Devils Handbook experience live in the city of its creation. 

Live from the Masque theater. The band that brought you the world record breaking debut album now brings the greatest live show in the world to the stage. An hour-long set of classics and new tracks from the follow up to The Devils Handbook, Metro are writing history and choose Halloween, October 31st to bring it home.

European gigs have seen them play many different cities one of them being @ Space in Ibiza alongside Nick Curly, Ellen Allien, Livio & Roby, Martin Buttrich & more

Bringing his own style into the dance scene, refining sound through tweaking & experimenting, Van Gello's DJ sets take in elements of Groovy Tech, Dark Techno, Minimal Audio & Progressive sounds, always keeping faithful to their House routes!

A typical 'Bourne Van Gello ' set can consist of anything, from an uplifting terrace sound right through to a deep underground tech house blend.

Back in the late 90's and early 00's, clubbing was in full force. Liverpool was an undisputed heavyweight in nightlife activity and local djs pioneered sounds that inspired a generation of party goers.
The Aquarium Nightclub was an institution for many liverpudlians. The weekly thursday night event, 'Wildlife' was the most common reason for a Friday absence from work and the Saturday night parties where thought of as the underground alternative to the legendary Club051.

This one off event will showcase some of the venues biggest stars, playing the largest tracks of the era.

Lee Butler (Radio City 96.7)
'From the early 90's, Lee was a massive star on the Liverpool clubbing circuit. A huge following for over a decade labeled him the citys number one for many years.
Holding down residencies at 'The State', 'The Buzz' and 'Club051', Lee was considered a household name. Playing to locked out venues every week his popularity grew and his talent for breaking big tunes and mixing acapellas became notorious.
His sets at the Aquariums Thursday night 'Wildlife' parties have been regarded as 'legendary' and his record label, 'BCD Records' showcased some of the venues biggest tracks.
Expect to hear some true Liverpool classics on this set.'

Steve Cocky (Radio City 96.7)
'Ste was one of the Buzz clubs original Heavyweight Djs. He was the man who dropped the big tracks at the right time!
His production alias 'Sosumi' was responsible for some of the aquariums biggest anthems and they still stand true as landmark tracks of the time. 
Ste has since gone on to secure a slot on Radio City and is the man behind successful Clubland act, 'The Northern Allstars'.
Expect to hear fat beats and uplifting Trance from start to finish!'

Rob Cain (Bounce Heaven / Frequency)
'Originally brought in as the warm up Dj. Robs popularity at The Aquarium Nightclub increased week after week, making him one of the most popular and recognisable of the clubs residents.
Since the Aquarium, he has gone on to gain superstar status within the UK Bounce Scene, with the general public voting him number 1 Dj in both 2008 & 2009.
Expect to hear anything and everything pumpin!'

Alan Holt (Garlands / Buzz Club)
'Holty has long since retired from Djing, but his love for the era has brought him back for one last set.
Alan was one of them djs who had that special 'x-factor', knowing exactly what tune to drop at exactly the right time made him legendary in every venue he was resident at. 
His return is something not to be missed!
Expect to hear the biggest anthems and club favourites in a way that only Alan can deliver!'

Ian Redman (BCM, Magaluff)
'A success story from start to finish. Theres no denying that this lad has grafted for what hes got now. Regularly playing gigs every night of the week all over the country is standard.
Ian was an original member of the group 'Ultrabeat' and had chart success with massive Aquarium anthems 'Pretty Green Eyes', 'Feeling Fine' and 'Better Than Life'.
Ian is now a resident at BCM in Magaluff and his night regulary breaks attendance records!
Expect to hear some huge vocal anthems!'

MC B (Basshunter Tour / Frequency)
'Ben has been smashing out the lyrics in liverpool venues for many years now. His talent has seen him perform all over the globe.
Originally the MC for Mick Di Scalas Rezonance Q alias, Ben was soon poached by the Aquarium team to perforn at the weekly saturday night events.
Nowadays Ben has a residency at liverpool last standing Scouse House venue 'The Pleasurerooms' and has recently returned from hosting Basshunters sell out tour.
Expect to hear lyrics galore!

THE EVIL AMIGOS:
The Evil Amigos have now established themselves on the underground circuit after a blistering couple of years. Not only were the boys busy captivating dance floors across the UK, but the launch of their tech house record label Carpe Diem Musica was a blinding success. Within its first year Carpe Diem Musica has collaborated with and signed up some of the underground scenes best producers who have boasted many Beatport number ones - Loko, Simon Stokes, Ahmet Sendil, Alex Young, Tim Weeks and Cozzy D to name but a few. 

This year promises to be even bigger as production work comes flying in for their groove laden tech house style. The boys are currently bi-monthly residents at Manchester super-club "Sankeys", voted number 1 club in the world by DJ Magazine. They have played alongside some of the worlds elite like Nic Fanciulli, Wally Lopez, Format B, Clive Henry, Guy Gerber ... the List is endless! With future ambitions to hold Carpe Diem Musica record label parties across the globe, the years ahead really do look bright for these young talents. 


WARBGASM:
Warbgasm has a big future ahead of him, if his first EP on Hypercolour Recordings is anything to go by. He has gained support from the likes of Lee Jones, Patrice Baumel, Stimming, Will Saul, Plasmik, Milton Jackson, Quarion, Funk D'Void, and Laurent Garnier. DJ-wise has so far seen him play various venues throughout the UK, from the O2 Academy and various warehouses in Liverpool to Ministry Of Sound in London, playing alongside such names as Reboot, Ame, Will Saul, Adam Beyer, Steve Lawler and Nathan Fake.

He draws influences from a wide variety of music, and his sound flirts mostly between House and Techno with an emphasis on warm, emotive and almost cosmic sounds and melodies. "Influenza" made it onto Lee Jones' beautiful Resident Advisor podcast, whilst "Dead Arm" is featured on the very first Warung Brazil compilation mixed by the 16 Bit Lolitas.

Early critical acclaim came from DJ Magazine commenting on a track of his heard on his MySpace “Sounding like ants on acid ... We're suprised to know he is still unsigned ... Labels, get in touch with him, please!” John Digweed also picked up on a remix he did of X-Press 2's "Kill 100", playing it on his "Best of 2007" Transitions show on international radio station Kiss.
